June is the month of strawberries! 🍓 The days are long and the upcoming Midsummer celebration of Litha fills this time with heat and passion. Here’s an easy love spell for the Strawberry Moon.
The best day to cast this spell is Friday but you should cast it during any of the three nights when the Moon is Full in June.
How does this Spell Work?
- Strawberries are sacred to Freyja, the Norse goddess of love who gives name to Fridays.
- Three is a sacred number. Three strawberries are going to symbolize passion, love, and lust.
- Pink candles are used for romantic love. You may use a red candle for a more passionate, intense effect but pink candles are most effective for a long-lasting relationship.
Before you begin, make sure you set an intention for this ritual. It could be anything from renewing the love in your relationship, to falling in love with someone new, or simply improving your love life. 💘
Strawberry Full Moon Love Spell
Harness the energy of a Strawberry Moon with a love spell. Take your relationship to the next level or open your heart to a new love.
Ingredients
Fresh strawberries
1 pink candle
1 dish
Pen and paper
How to cast the spell
- Take a bath and relax. You can use sea salt and light a white candle in the bathroom. Find bath ideas here
- Place the dish on your altar and light a pink candle on it. You can also use a red candle for a more intense, passionate effect.
- Meditate as you watch the flame. Take a few deep breaths and focus on your intention.
- When you’re ready, chant a prayer such as this:
- Write down your intention on the piece of paper. Carefully place it under or near the dish.
- Place the three strawberries on the dish around the candle while you say: “Blessed Be by the power of three.”
- Let the candle burn as an offering to the Goddess of love. Optionally, you can prepare some strawberry tea and drink it as you meditate or have a few strawberries.
- When you’re done, blow out the candle and leave the offerings until tomorrow. In the morning, throw all remains and offerings away as you say “Thank you”. Keep the piece of paper in your Book of Shadows or safely burn it in a fireproof container.

In parts of Bavaria, country folk still practice the annual rite each spring of tying small baskets of wild strawberries to the horns of their cattle as an offering to elves.
