‘The Door Opener’: Wiccan Chant + Bag for Getting a Job
Bay leaves, rice, and sea salt can be combined to cast a powerful spell to find a job fast. Light a green candle and chant this Wiccan prayer while it burns.
Ingredients
1 green candle
A handful of rice (uncooked)
Sea salt
3 bay leaves
Cloth sachet
Boline or knife
Dish
Directions
- Create a circle on your altar or table using the sea salt. You can also do this if you will be working on the ground, using the salt to make a large circle of protection.
- Take the green candle and carve your name on it using your boline or knife. Start from the wick and work your way to the base of the candle.
- Light the candle on the dish, inside the circle of salt.
- Add a handful of rice to the dish and the bay leaves on top of the rice.
- As the candle burns, chant:
- Let the candle burn as you meditate and give Thanks because the wheels of manifestation are already turning in your favor. Snuff out the candle and put your tools away.
- Put the rice and the bay leaves in your cloth sachet and keep it in a secret and safe place.
- Light the same candle again after one week and repeat the chant while holding your sachet.

Do you burn the candle completely in the second week? While it’s burning, do you leave the circle open until the candle burn to the bottom and close the circle maybe in the morning? I hope my questions did not sound very simple as I am new to the practise. Many thanks.

You can burn the candle completely in the second week or you can continue the spell, snuffing the candle and coming back to it again and again until you get the job. As for the circle, you keep the circle closed as cast while the candle burns and you say the chant. Then when you’re done, you open the circle and dispel it.
