Challenge Entry

I just found this meditation, last night, and it goes well with the theme.

Release Limiting Belief under the Healing Waterfall / Inner Child Healing Hypnosis / Meditation

When I imagined swimming in the pool under the waterfall, I remembered the hot tub we used to have, here. It broke and was removed, but it had been a favorite place of mine, when I was allowed to get in during temperate early spring weather. It was large enough I could stretch out without touching anything. I’d float, looking up into the blue sky.

Even in my youth, I’d imagined the Creator had blue eyes (sky, with a bird as the pupil) and long, blonde hair (rays of sunlight). Floating in warm water made me feel like I was floating in the blue of that sky eye, totally embraced by my creator, without a care in the world. It is a wonderful meditation.

I haven’t worked with Aphrodite this month, and since she was born from the sea, this gives me the perfect opportunity to work with some water magick.

Challenge Entry
The Enchanted Bookmark
The Element Water is paired with Dreams.
My intention was to make an enchanted bookmark that would sit in a bedtime storybook and bring only sweet dreams. This bookmark is enchanted because it is stuffed with items that correspond to dreamwork. The rosemary leaves also dispel nightmares.
Materials:
black cardstock, heavy duty foil scrapbook paper with dragonfly pattern, tissue paper, glue stick, double sided tape, acrylic stamps of owl and moon, silver embossing powder, dragonfly stickers, corner rounder, silver ribbon, hole punch, lavender flowers, rosemary leaves, a very tiny garnet chip, and a four-leaf clover.

Method:
Stamp and emboss the owl and moon on the black cardstock and trim to 3 inches by 8 inches.
Wrap the lavender, rosemary, garner chip, and four-leaf clover in the tissue paper and glue it shut, making a package that is as flat as possible and that will fit inside the bookmark with room for glue around all edges.
Using the double sided tape, attach the tissue paper package to the middle of the back of the black cardstock.
Glue or tape the black cardstock to the back of the dragonfly paper, around all sides, making sure to have a large margin of glue at the top so that when the hole for the ribbon is punched the contents will not fall out.
Trim the dragonfly paper to match the black side. Round the corners if you wish.
Add stickers to the dragonfly paper.
Punch the hole at the top and insert the ribbon.
You could consecrate and charge the bookmark if you wish, A chant could be: With this magick bookmark peaceful sleep will abound.
A soothing bedtime story, with no boogey man around.
Only sweet dreams after sundown.
The chant could be written on one side of the bookmark and read after the story, or written on a piece of paper and put inside.
A bookmark could be made for any intention simply by changing the colors, decorations, and contents. How about a bookmark for a textbook:
With this magick bookmark, wisdom doth now abound.
No longer will this text bamboozle or confound.
The future holds only good grades that will astound.
Have the kids design their own bookmark!

Challenge entry

Oh how I love a cleansing bath, nothing better than some candles, adding some rose petals and some bath salts and soak washing away all the negative energies with some mediation music playing and reading. Adding a cup of herbal tea as well. So dreamy and relaxing Shame I don’t have a picture for this challenge.

I also use water to cleanse my crystals making some moon water and having them charge when it’s a full moon. Of course not all the crystals since some might get destroyed.

I think it’s time for me to cleanse my self this challenge has made me realise how important it is to wash away the negative energy.

Though my star sign is cancer so I guess that counts as a water sign.

Continuing the discussion from Weekly Witchy CHALLENGE - Splish Splash Spellwork: I’m not an overall water lover (as I don’t enjoy the sand or the open ocean), but I do enjoy shallow, really clear water, such as shown below, and I love having baths. So, there’s still some fun for me to have with a literal interpretation here. For this entry, I’ll be doing a little bit of rambling, but mostly sharing things for the senses: imagery for the eyes, and music for the ears. Yep, you guessed…

That’s my challenge entry. I couldn’t resist sharing so many photos, so I made it a thing.

Oooh so excited for this. My guides told me this weekend to practice doing bath Rituals this past weekend. So I a deprivation tank float on Friday and a healing abth on Sunday.

@tracyS it has been rainy as ■■■■ here in Portland too… i was able to grab this shot when the rain stopped and i got home from work.

@Devenne I wash with salt to cut cords with clients daily when working. And if you have trader Joe’s near you. I love their salt scub it is the best. It has 4 different oils in it and smells like lavender.

I love that tree so much. It is in my neighbors yard, behind me one street over. It is giant, I am guessing over 150 years old. My neighbor doesn’t decorate it for that holidays but that would be rad. It is probably 200 ft tall. If I was in charge I would light the tree if it agreed to it. Cause i would want to ask for consent first…
We had two more giant pies that were removed by our land lord. I miss them

Oh! You didn’t hear about the 91 Million year old family of trees in your back yard? No visitors allowed- to protect the genetic line, but the discoverers are selling seeds to people to grow their own. I heard about them a couple of days ago from Witches of the Craft and lost the link to the article. The pines are apple green with bark said to look like Coco Puffs cereal.
