A Banishing Spell to Wash Away Your Worries 🌦

Merry meet!

We’ve been having a lot of rain (turned snow yesterday) over the past week. But rainy days don’t have to be down and dreary- with a bit of magick, you can use nature’s showers to refresh your energy and wash away something that has been weighing you down :raised_hands:

Wash Away Worries Rain Cleanse Banish

Wash Away Worries Spell :sun_behind_rain_cloud:

Use this easy candle spell on a rainy day or night during a Waning Moon Phase (Gibbous, Last Quarter, or Crescent) :crescent_moon:

By calling upon this moon’s banishing properties along with the cleansing and healing powers of the Water Element, the rain can wash away a troublesome worry, burden, or problem

You will need:
:candle: A blue candle
:herb: A small amount of olive oil
:salt: A pinch of salt

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  1. In a small dish or the palm of your hand, mix together the olive oil (you will only need a few drops!) along with the pinch of salt, stirring in a counter-clockwise motion :arrow_right_hook:
  2. Take your newly-made oil mixture and dress your candle with it. Apply the oil and salt mixture using a downward motion (starting at the top of the candle and brushing it to the bottom) :arrow_down:
  3. Place your coated candle on your altar or other sacred casting space. Take a few moments to focus on your intention- what worry, burden, or issue will the rain carry away from you?
  4. Light your candle :candle:
  5. Sit quietly and mindfully as you watch your candle burn. As it grows smaller and smaller, focus on the sound of the rain outside. Feel the energy of the Waning Moon in your space and know that your chosen problem is being washed away :droplet:
Me too! I certainly need to do this after our house shift is over! :sparkles: But can it be performed on a non-rainy or dry winter day? :thinking:
Using this shortly! It’s an icky, rainy, icy day here and it feels like the perfect spell to get rid of some lingering worries.
Thank you for sharing it! :slight_smile:
I ran across this yesterday and bookmarked it, we still have feet of snow in the middle of Alaska, but I look forward to using this when I do see rain again. We don’t have olive oil so I might change it up a bit!
@MeganB You’re welcome, Megan- I hope the spell can serve you well! :blush:
@Solasta_Amore Others may disagree with me on this one, but I would say that if the circumstances outside aren’t what you need, then you can make your own circumstances! :+1: Magick is all about manifesting, after all! So if it’s not raining outside, then make it rain within your own sacred space- visualizations and meditations are very powerful things and can be done anytime, anywhere :blush:
Sound can help a lot too- if you go to YouTube and search for “rain sounds” or “rain meditations”, I’m sure you’ll find just what you need to summon some rain energy in your space :cloud_with_rain: :sparkles:
@Aurora_Hestia It’s my pleasure, Aurora- good for you for putting that rainy weather you have to good use! :grinning: Wishing you all the best with the spell and banishing any worries you have. Good luck! :heart:
@Melora_Fae Feel free to switch up the ingredients and adapt the spell to fit your needs- it’s here to use in whatever way serves you best! Good luck and blessed casting :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Ohh woow @BryWisteria! Thank you love :kissing_heart: …this video of rain sounds looks surreal! I am definitely saving this one and will banish my own worries away with the magick of the Water Element by visualizing some pleasant rain in my sacred space :cloud_with_rain: :sparkles: (it is new right now tho, as I have shifted in my new place but still feeling uncertain about my adapting abilities! :face_exhaling: I need some serious support to just let the phase of grieving my last sacred space, pass on :roll_eyes:)
Great suggestion! When I lived in the central part of Arizona decades ago, we practically had zero rain. So I’d often fall asleep to my thunderstorm :cloud_with_lightning_and_rain: :vhs: tape cassette. (The loud CLICK when it was done wasn’t great but the rest of the tape really helped me fall asleep, lol!)
I’m sorry, 10 hours of rain sounds?! Don’t mind me as I play this while I sleep :cloud_with_rain: :sparkles: I won’t have to during the Florida summers but we’re not quite there yet. This is amazing!
Oh yes! It’s rainy and dreary today and my anxiety is up a little bit… though I’m really sure why. I think this will be a lovely way to spend some quiet time tonight!
From moving around a lot, I know really well that it’s tough to have to pack up and move, especially when it means leaving behind places that were special to us. Big hugs to you, Solasta! :people_hugging: :heart:
Were you able to bring things from your previous space into your new one? If so, one little ritual you can do is place each item carefully on your new area one by one. As you place the item, envision it holding the energy and carrying over the memories from its previous home. This way, bit by bit, you transfer the “heart” of your previous space into the new one. All the energies and memories can come with you :handshake: :two_hearts:
Ohhhh that does sound like a very soothing way to fall asleep :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::cloud_with_rain: (minus the loud click at the end! :laughing:)
Enjoy! :heart: They really are neat- I go nuts for the ambient noise videos on YouTube haha. The fireplace and deep forest ones are my favorites! :grinning: :sparkles: (and bonus points whenever there’s a cute cat :cat2: :joy:)
Anxiety does love to leave you guessing :sweat_smile:
I hope you were able to have some nice relaxing time and that the rainy day helped to wash away any anxiety you were feeling! :heart::blush:
Woow thanks darling! :face_holding_back_tears: I absolutely loooove this ritual for getting all comfy and back to being me in my new home and sacred space!! :sparkling_heart: Yes I have brought every single item with me here, carrying it as if it were a box of diamonds! :joy: :gem: Actually for me my magickal tools and ingredients are wayyyy more than diamonds… :innocent: :sparkles: I am going to do this ritual as soon as most of the stuff dumped in my house is placed properly :sweat_smile: Thank you again love, blessed be! :hugs:
I’m with you on that one, my friend! :+1: Precious gems may be shiny and nice, but it’s really the emotional (and, with sacred items, spiritual) bond that makes them worth more than any price tag could show :relaxed:
I’m wishing you all the best as you continue to settle in to your new place- once everything is set up again, I’m sure you’ll feel right at home! :heart::blush:
Much love and many blessings!
