After celebrating the equinox and welcoming balance into our lives last week, it’s time to welcome something else into our practice- the art of welcoming new things itself! 
The theme for this week’s challenge is…
Magickal Consecration 
Preparing new tools and items for magickal use
When learning about magickal tools and items, you may have come across the term “consecration”. To consecrate an item is to welcome it into your practice and prepare for magickal use.
While sometimes used alongside the terms “cleansing” (to wipe an object, person, or space clean from negative energy), “charging” (to fill or refill something with power), and “dedication” (to designate an already-consecrated tool for one specific use, usually to a deity), each of these terms hold their own unique definitions.
This week, we are exploring the versatile and exciting practice of consecration- but keep in mind that there are no singular “right” or “wrong” ways to welcome a new object into your Craft, and there are as many methods of consecration as there are types of witches (which is to say- a lot!), so feel free to explore and be creative with your consecration work this week

STEP 1 : Making Something Sacred 
This challenge is all about consecration and preparing tools for magickal tools - but how you choose to take on this theme is up to you!
Still not sure where to begin? To help you get started, here are a few ways in which a witch might approach this challenge.
Any object you wish to use magically can benefit from first being made sacred. While this is most commonly an altar space and magickal tools that will be used for casting and spellwork, one might also consecrate spell jars, amulets and talismans, and even magickal gifts you wish to give to others

Everyone is welcome to join the challenge by practicing magick in line with the current theme. For lurkers and those who don’t feel comfortable sharing, it is absolutely okay to follow along with the challenge but keep your entry personal. Feel free to join in spirit and do what feels most comfortable for you!
That being said, please know that if you would like to receive a prize and a public shout-out, it is required that you share your experience.
Getting Your Credit 
In order for your entry to be counted, all you have to do is write/share about your experience and label it as your challenge entry. There is a lot of chatting here (which is awesome- chatting and discussion are very welcome!) so please clearly write that it is your entry so I know to count it!
